Who we are

ConnForge is a free timber connection design tool available at connforge.com. It performs structural calculations to EN 1995-1-1 (EC5) and produces PDF reports and DXF exports.

What data we collect

To use ConnForge, you must create an account. We collect: your email address and a hashed password (for authentication); project data including project names and structural inputs you enter (to save and restore your work); and company profile information you optionally provide — company name, address, phone number, and email address (used to populate PDF report headers). We do not collect payment information or any other personal data.

How your data is used

Your email is used for authentication (sign in, password reset) and for service communications — such as changes to pricing or plans, updates to these terms, or important notices about the service. Project data and company profile information are stored so you can access them from any device and include them in PDF reports. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

Data storage and processors

Authentication and project storage are handled by Supabase (supabase.com), a third-party service provider. Data is stored on servers within the European Union. Supabase acts as a data processor under our instructions and is bound by their Data Processing Agreement.

Cookies

ConnForge uses a single session cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not collect personal data or fingerprint individual visitors. It records only aggregated, anonymous metrics such as page views and referral sources. No consent is required.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party, except as required to operate the service (Supabase, as described above) or as required by law.

Data retention

Your account and project data are retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights (UK/EU users)

Under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
